Time and again, when the issue of a possible error is raised in letters and newspaper reports, it is obvious that those at all levels of management of the Criminal Injury Compensation Program that the idea of a mistake could be made is not recognized or even considered. A quote from an article which appeared in the Vancouver Sun in 1999: "Roderick Ferguson, chief counsel for the CIC, said his program would never make a payment without corroboration that a crime had occurred." That is not a true statement. The crime that did occur is the destruction of my family, the fraudulent collecting of thousands of dollars by the scamming "therapists and the pay-out of thousands of tax payer’s money by irresponsible individuals at the Criminal Injury Compensation Program. Earlier I posed the question: "To whom does the Criminal Injury Compensation Program respond to?" As of September 1, 2000, the CICP responds to no one. The "candy-coated", "side-stepping", "stone-walling" letters I have received are no different than these letters Criminal Injury Compensation Program writes to elected members of the B.C. Legislature. Tragically and sadly, many people in positions of authority including Government are well aware of the damage done by Recovered Memory Therapy. Yet they refuse to take a stand, refuse to demand that the harm that was done by the Criminal Injury Compensation Program and the others in this "therapy" scam be acknowledged and every effort be taken to correct the harm done. Tragically and sadly, most members of the Mental Health industry also are well aware of that Recovered Memory Therapy is a sham, yet they too are ignoring the money wasted and the harm done to innocent people, doing nothing to expose the fraud of it's practitioners. |

to correct for any harm that WCB may have caused
7. Conclusion Thank you for allowing me to share my story with you and any help you
can provide.
